Kitesurf Introduction Course Roadmap
The first day is all about a bit of theory, flying with the 4-line foil kite, basic kite control and safety. Today’s goal is that you can set up, land and control the kite safely and that you gain a good understanding of the following:
- Theory: weather, wind and safety
- Controlling a very safe foil kite
- Setting up a 4-line LEI kite
- Practice with the safety systems
- Dealing with weather apps and planning system
- Have lunch with your instructor and other kiteboarders at Beachclub Boca Grandi

What can you do after your first kitesurf course?
When you have completed the 1-day kitesurf course, you are able to safely fly and steer a kite. On the second course day, we will put the focus on being able to control the kite independently and make sure you can independently put on the kiteboard. That’s why we will teach you how to divide your attention without crashing the kite.
Extra information about your kitesurfing lessons
Are you a quick learner or have you already had a kitesurf lessons before?
If you already had a kitesurf lesson at a different school than we will adapt our lesson to your skill level. Are you a quick learner? Than we will walk through all steps at your own pace so you can advance faster.
Lesson guarantee
The day before your kitesurfing course we will contact you to discuss if the weather is good for an optimal kitesurf lesson. If this is not the case, we will plan a new day together. So you know for sure that you get what you pay for.
Getting certified
Each student goes through the “International Kiteboarding Organization” or IKO program. This allows for safe kitesurfing lessons with the latest material. At the end of your kitesurfing course, Roel & his Team certify you based upon the IKO system. With this certification, you can take kitesurf lessons or rent equipment with any participating IKO affiliated center.

Frequently asked questions
Not at all. All the force of the kite is in your harness. You can control the kite with the tips of your fingers. And this is the difficult part of kitesurfing, not to use strength in your arms but to relax ;)
- The Introduction Course is approximately 4,5 hours long including lunch at Boca Grandi.
- Group Lessons are approximately 3,5 hours long.
- Duo Lessons are approximately 3 hours long.
- Private Lessons are approximately 2,5 hours long.
- If a lesson is made up of less people than mentioned above, then the lesson block will be shortened due to the much higher lesson intensity.
- Kitesurfinglessons start at 9:00, 1:30 or 5:30*
*5:30 Only if there is enough daylight.
- Group Lessons consist of 3 to 4 persons per kite.
- Introductie & Duo Lessons consist of a maximum of 2 persons per kite.

The lessons are on if the wind is between 7 and 30 knots. 70% Of the lessons are given. If the weather is not good for lessons, you can choose another date for your kitesurfinglesson.
Everything is included except a wetsuit. If you have one yourself, bring it with you. If you don’t have one, you can rent them for €7,50 per day.
You can book as it suits you. We are open 7 days a week, at 9, 1:30 and 5:30. We recommend to finish all your classes within 2 months.
We teach kitesurfing from 8 till 88 years old. Everybody can learn how to kitesurf. Don’t beleive us? There is a riding guarantee that comes with the 3 day package. Did not ride = free lessons.
Yes, kitesurfing is hard. The learningcurve is exponentially. The more lessons you get in, the easier it will be. After 3 kitesurfinglessons you master the basics.
